PhD stipend increased from 1 October 2022

The Leverhulme Trust is increasing its minimum student stipend by 10%

The Leverhulme Trust Board has announced it will be increasing PhD stipend rates in line with UKRI rates. Rates will increase by 10% from 1 October 2022. The minimum stipend from 1 October 2022 will be £17,668 full time equivalent. The increased stipend will be provided to all PhD students supported by the Trust.

If you have submitted an application recently that includes PhD students, you do not need to do anything. You will be advised on the process if your application is successful.

Current grant holders are advised to pay the new increased amount from 1 October 2022; and the Trust will make the appropriate adjustment at the end of the grant.
