1000th Early Career Fellow

The Leverhulme Trustees are pleased to announce their 1,000th Early Career Fellow – Dr Lauren Brent,an evolutionary biologist, at the University of Exeter. Many congratulations to Lauren.

Since the scheme was established in 1994, the Trust has invested more than £65 million in the Early Career Fellowships, with matched funding from host institutions. This has enabled us to help build the academic and research careers of over 1000 Early Career Fellows.

Lauren Brent’s research focuses on the evolution of sociality and asks why social relationships are formed and how they are maintained. Lauren has kindly contributed a piece about her research to this month's Newsletter
