Call for 70 Early Career Fellowships now open
The Leverhulme Trust is now inviting applications for approximately 70 career development Early Career Fellowships. These awards offer funding for 2 or 3 years for Fellows to be based in UK higher education institutions. The Trust and host institution each provide 50% of the Fellow’s salary costs, and in addition The Trust awards £6,000 each year for research expenses. Leverhulme Scholar heads the cast at a National Theatre production of Terry Pratchett’s Nation
Actor Gary Carr can currently be seen playing the lead role in the National Theatre’s production of Terry Pratchett’s novel Nation. Gary was supported by a Leverhulme Trust scholarship throughout his training at the London Academy of Music and Dramatic Art (LAMDA), and graduated in 2008. In Nation, Gary takes on the lead role of Mau, and appears alongside another LAMDA graduate, Emily Taafe, who plays Ermintrude. Read more…


Philip Leverhulme Prize Winners 2009
The Leverhulme Trustees are pleased to announce the results of the 2009 competition for Philip Leverhulme Prizes. These Prizes, with a value of £70,000 each, are awarded to outstanding young scholars who have made a substantial and recognised contribution to their particular field of study, are recognised at an international level, and whose future contributions are held to be of correspondingly high promise.
